I know from experience that psychotherapy can enrich your life in so many ways. Going into the field, I knew that I wanted to focus my practice on a client base that often faces marginalization and misunderstanding in psychotherapy. I wanted to provide a safe space for Kinky, LGBTQ+, Sex-workers and Non-monogamous folks to feel welcomed and not pathologized. My aim is to be inclusive of all people regardless of sexuality, gender, race or ability.
I have worked in mental-health care since 2016. I began my training at a dual-diagnosis substance abuse rehab, and later transitioned Community Mental Health, helping children in the foster-care system and their families. Finally, I transitioned into private practice and focused on a sex-therapy specialization. I have a passion for learning about all things psychology-related, especially as it relates to attachment and transcending traumatic experiences.
I utilize a holistic, mind-body approach to psychotherapy that is trauma-informed. I believe that developing mindfulness and connecting with the emotions and signals our body sends us, leads to wholeness, a felt sense of safety, connection and joy.
